Three days until the release of my fairytale novella, “The Swan Prince (Book One of the Wilderhark Tales)”!!! And we’re going to celebrate with a week-long extravaganza!
Starting on launch day (May 31st), I’m hosting a big ol’ raffle-type giveaway here on the Ever On Word blog. I call it “Seven Swans a-Winning”. (What can I say? “The 12 Days of Christmas” is one of my all-time favorite carols.)
Everyone will be given oodles of chances to win exclusive, custom-made (by moi!), totally-boss-sauce prizes – a different winner every day for seven days straight! – by engaging in any or all of the following activities:
[Action] = [Chances to Win]
Every mention/link to the giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, or blog = 1
An addition of “The Swan Prince” to your Goodreads “To Read” shelf * = 1
Schedule a day with me to host me on your blog for an author interview, character interview, or guest post ** = 3
Every purchase of an e-book copy of “The Swan Prince” = 3
Every purchase of a paperback copy of “The Swan Prince” = 7
* This is something you can do right now! Just let me know in the comments below that you’ve done it, and that’s one instance of your name in the prize pool already!
** You can get an early start with this one, too! Send me a message through my contact page, and we’ll settle on a date (which, by the way, does not have to be during the giveaway week, if that timeframe isn’t convenient for you). Provide the interview questions and/or topic you’d like me to guest blog about, I’ll type like a maniac, and wha-bam – you’re part of the “Wilderhark Tales” phenomenon. (: (And if an advance review and/or interview has already appeared on your blog, don’t worry, you’re covered. Automatic name in hat for you. ^-^)
Your chances to win will accumulate over the seven days of the giveaway (didn’t win on Day One? You’ve still got your rollover entries for the days to come, and you can continue earning more), so the sooner you jump on board, the better your odds of winning!
“Winning what?” you ask. Well, for starters, I’ve got prints!
“PRINCE?!” Alas, no, but let’s call it the next best thing – “designs or pictures printed from an engraved plate, wood block, or other medium”.
Day One’s winner will get an autographed print of word art, the words being a piece of “Swan Prince”-related flash fiction, done up all pretty and colorful and begging to framed on your wall.
The prints for the next three days will be practically twofer deals: Side-by-side, autographed images of character drawings in their original sketch and colored forms.
“Oh, wow! You mean the artist who did your gorgeous book cover—?!”

No, not art by Yana Naumova; art by Danielle E. Shipley! …which is not as spectacular as Yana’s work, I’m the first to admit, but c’mon, it’s the author’s characters as drawn by the author! That’s gotta count for at least a couple cool points, right?
Day Two’s winner gets the Sigmund print.
Day Three, the Sula print.
Day Four, the Villem print.
Thus concludes today’s preview of the awesomeness to come. Tune in for another tease tomorrow, as we continue counting down until May 31st… RELEASE DAY!

Let’s see… that’s 6 for me! MUAHAHA! Those prints will be mine!
Lol, only 5, sweetheart: Blog review (1) + Blog interview (1) = 2. Still, you’re off to a bangin’ start!
P.S., readers of comments, in case you’ve not seen them yet…
Kimberly’s blog review of “Swan Prince” (http://theflightreflex.blogspot.com/2013/05/book-review-swan-prince-by-danielle-e.html#comment-form) and interview with me (http://theflightreflex.blogspot.com/2013/05/on-words-with-danielle-e.html?)!
No, wait, stop the presses — you’re totally right! LOL, forgot my own rules! XD
Yes, 3 points for your interview, plus another 1 for your review. SEVEN points for you, girly!
Lol! I guess this is why we’re writers instead of mathematicians, right? 😉
Something like that. XD
