Reads and Trees (Love-a-Thon 2016, Mini-Challenge)

LoveAThon 2016

I’m back with more Love-a-Thon fun! This time, a mini-challenge:

We all love books, but there are other things we’re passionate about too! Mash-up a non-bookish hobby/passion/talent/fandom with your bookish life. Do it through photos, art, videos, etc. Get as creative as you’d like!

If there’s one thing I love the way I love books – one thing that provides me a soul-nourishing escape the way they do – it’s the forest. So for this post, I trawled Tumblr for images combining the bibliophilic with the woodsy. Here are some of my favorite finds. Enjoy!

Any of you know of more gorgeous photos in this vein? Throw ‘em at me in the comments; I will gladly gaze. ^o^

    • My thanks! I owe it all to the brilliant folks who go out with books and a camera and make magic happen. ^_^ When I get back to wandering Germany’s forests, I intend to be one such magic-maker.

    • Y’know, I’m really not sure. I know that one version (the one I nabbed from my U.S. library) has a white background, and the other has the orange, but I can’t seem to hunt down the rhyme or reason behind it. But probably yeah, it’ll be the U.K. version. (Anyone who knows differently, feel free to set me straight!)

  1. I would read in the woods more, if it weren’t for the fact that, in Maine at least, the comfort of the current air temperature is directly proportional to the presence of mosquitos! Though I often like walking through the woods and thinking deep, meaningful, Waldenesque thoughts.
