Welcome to “INSPIRED Days”! – an approximate month of awesomeness celebrating my novel, which (can you believe it?) will have debuted with J. Taylor Publishing a full six months ago, come Sunday the 17th!
Here’s what I’d had planned to kick things off: There’s this cool little annual thing at the Kindred Dreamheart blog called “Novel Fashion Week”.
And I’m joining in with a project of Lucianíel-caliber inspiration: A journal entry guest post by INSPIRED leading lady Annabelle Iole Gray chronicling her adventure in cosplaying the widely-varied personal styles of her characters and muse. The super-fun part? The post comes with photos of me cosplaying as Annabelle cosplaying as her characters.

Bu-u-ut slight change of plans, because – due to circumstances nowhere within the realm of my control – “Novel Fashion Week” has been postponed until September. So sorry, gang, you’ll have to wait ‘til then to read the blog post and enter a super-special little giveaway.
HOWEVER, to compensate for the delay, right here, right now, I’m sharing a number of the images from my cosplay photo shoots. Never let it be said I deprive you of INSPIRED fashion!
Channeling my Uri-tude, courtesy of my mother (who graciously acted as my photographer/chauffeur for the entirety of this project) and several items borrowed from my cooler-than-me sister’s wardrobe.
Thank you, Sir Wilbur, for giving me an excuse to pull out my chainmail and favorite boots!
Despite monster mosquitoes and rain-spitting clouds plaguing the shoot, I managed to scratch out a few Abishan pics that pleased me.
And no thanks to a camera malfunction completely sabotaging my first attempt at an Yves shoot, the second time was the charm, giving me several shots of the melancholy mystery to choose from.
To wrap up, one more of Lucianíel, shown here having a tender moment with some beloved books.

And don’t forget, there’s also a giveaway going on Goodreads in which three lucky winners will receive a paperback of INSPIRED. Meanwhile, for the e-reading crowd, the novel’s e-version is on sale all month for a crazy-low 99 cents via Amazon and Barnes and Noble! So for anyone who hasn’t gotten hold of a copy yet, the time is now!
**Coming up Thursday**: A guest post from INSPIRED’s Abishan on what it’s like for a cat god to find himself overseen by an arguably higher power.
You would make a most excellent knight!
With a whoooooooooole lot of training, mayhap. ^_^ Thank you kindly!
Okay, so this is basically the coolest idea ever. Now I’m getting all sorts of crazy ideas, like cosplaying as my aliens. Constructing six scaly blue arms is going to be hella difficult …
It was a stroke of mad genius, alright! Best of luck with your alien arm conundrum. Where there’s a will…!
I love that you have chainmail. Seriously, enough said. ^_^
I love my BFF for having gifted me chainmail. (And, y’know, for other reasons, but seriously. Chainmail.)
I like Luc best of all but, oh my gosh, those boots!
